The Hanover Innovative Payment team has an expansive history within the financial transaction processing arena; one that extends to many corners of the world. Entire credit card processing companies, on both the merchant and cardholder sides of the business, have been started and operated by key HIP staff. All of these systems — settlement, authorization, e-commerce, risk, credit reporting, billing, statement generation, merchant boarding and customer support — were developed in-house.

Team members have built in-house terminal deployment centers and full-scale customer service centers; developed and operated full debit and credit switches, created and managed complex stored-value and rewards programs for numerous external parties.

Additionally, the leading open source, Java®-based, mission-critical financial transaction library/framework was developed by HIP team members. This framework has been downloaded over 30,000 to date and is critical to transaction processing systems of major financial institutions worldwide.
