The experience and skills of many of the key players on the Hanover Innovative Payment (HIP) team where honed in a “developing world” context where physical resource was often untrustworthy and formal training was less than ideal. In such an environment, self-reliance, ingenuity and resourcefulness become essential to the development of effective solutions. These same factors have driven the tremendous success of the open source movement across the globe to include Linux. The development methodology of this movement has largely coalesced into the principles presented at www.agilemanifesto.org. We have found that many of our own principles are reflected in this methodology.

All applications whether developed under the guidance of the HIP team or developed by the HIP team will incorporate security best practices and will undergo solid security code reviews before deployment. HIP will ensure that your security is a first concern for your product; not an afterthought.
